More and more participants are seeing their photos removed because of signs of AI use, even though they believe they only edited the image. The reason is that many modern photo editors now include AI features. After generative removal, object replacement, background extension or AI reconstruction, it may be impossible to reliably determine what was captured by the camera and what was created by AI. These features are available in Photoshop, Lightroom, Picsart, Remini, Lensa, FaceApp, Meitu, Fotor, Canva, Luminar Neo, Evoto and other editors. Using these programs is not prohibited. What matters is which tools you use. If you participate in 35AWARDS, please avoid generative AI features and keep the original file or RAW. Otherwise, we may need to request the original image for verification.
