Introduction of Combot Automation Combot triggers have expanded beyond keyword-based responses. The new Automation feature enables the construction of comprehensive scenarios based on Telegram events, including messages and edits, comments, channel posts, join requests, member joins and leaves, boosts, reactions, and checklists. Rules can now evaluate a wide array of parameters, including text, time, topic, invite links, member roles and history, language, XP, reputation, message types, links, mentions, files, and other content attributes. "OR" alternatives allow multiple conditions to be consolidated into a single scenario, thereby avoiding the duplication of actions. Upon a match, Combot can execute various actions, such as sending messages with images and buttons, deleting the original message, issuing or removing warnings, restricting, banning, or kicking users, modifying XP and reputation, or approving or declining join requests. These actions can be executed sequentially or in a mixed mode, combining mandatory actions with one randomly selected action. The existing Triggers v2 system continues to function, eliminating the necessity for immediate migration. Free accounts support up to 2 rules, Pro accounts up to 50, and Business accounts up to 100. To initiate, open your group in Combot, navigate to the Automation section, and construct your first scenario.

New filter: Reactions Combot now lets you control who can react to messages in your chat. Two modes: • Allow — anyone can react (default) • Only members — reactions from non-members are automatically removed Available now under Moderation → Filters. Note: to disable reactions entirely, use the Reactions setting in your Telegram group's own settings.

Referral links: now available for public groups and channels Previously, referral invite links only worked for private groups. That limitation is now lifted: the feature works for public groups and channels too, alongside private groups, with no change to setup — enable "Enable ordinary users to create invite links" on the Referrals page as before. For channels specifically, since subscribers can't send bot commands like /invite, owners can now copy a direct link from the Referrals page and share it — e.g. pin it or add it to the channel description — so members can open it themselves. The Referrals leaderboard continues to show who invited the most members over any selected period. This remains free on the Combot dashboard and bot. Only programmatic access via the public API requires a Business plan.

🚀 Moderation updates 🛡 Guard Bot support Combot now verifies group join requests natively within Telegram's interface — no separate DMs needed. Requires "process join requests" permission. 📝 Join request bio filter Automatically decline requests based on applicant bios. Filter by keywords, regex, and links. Configure via group's "New users" section. 💬 Combot Direct Private messaging for chat admins. Members contact your team privately (name visible); replies are anonymous. Assign up to 5 admins to receive messages; the whole team sees the thread. 🆕 Reports & join requests: quick-ban button The "Ban & delete everything" button in report notifications and join request alerts (inside the log channel) now appears highlighted in red — making the destructive action stand out and cutting accidental misclicks. Not only does it ban the user, but it also removes their reactions and most of their messages. 🆕 Captcha: required memberships You can now require new members to subscribe to other chats or channels before they pass the captcha and enter your group. Add up to 5 required chats/channels — works with mini-app captcha.

Anonymous Questions — now available in Combot We've added Anonymous Questions, a feature that lets people send messages without revealing their identity. For chats. Enable it under Entertainment in your moderation settings. Combot generates a link you can share; anyone who opens it can submit a message, which is posted to your chat anonymously. You decide whether non-members are allowed to send. Messages are rate-limited to prevent spam and must be sent via the mini-app to protect against bots. For users. Turn it on in your personal Settings to receive anonymous messages directly. Share your personal link, and @combot delivers the messages to you — you can respond, and the conversation continues anonymously.

🧹 New: Mass removal We've added a dedicated "Mass removal" section to your group dashboard (in the sidebar, right after Leaderboards). It bundles six bulk-kick presets — preview matching users, export them as CSV, or ban them in one click: • Inactive members — kicks members with no recent activity. • Recently joined — members who joined in the last 1–48 hours. • By join date — members who joined within a date range you pick. • By name / username — substring match, or filter by script: RTL (Arabic, Hebrew), Cyrillic, or hieroglyphs (CJK). • By XP — members above or below an XP threshold. • By reputation — same, for reputation. Each preset lets you choose between: • Ban — permanent ban, nothing else touched. • Ban & clean — permanent ban plus delete every message and reaction the user has in this group. 🏆 Reminder: XP & reputation leaderboard cleaning The Clean button on your XP and reputation leaderboards is a separate tool — it only wipes the leaderboard records (XP or reputation values) and does not touch group membership. Use it when you want to: • Reset XP/reputation for members no longer in the group. • Remove records below or above a threshold. If you want to actually ban members based on their XP or repuation, use the new "Mass removal" page instead.

Combot — What's New We've shipped a batch of highly requested updates. Here's everything: 🔐 Permission Manager New matrix view across all your groups at once. See Combot roles and Telegram admin status for every admin in one interface. You can add users as Telegram admins and assign their permissions directly from the matrix — no more opening each group separately. Find it under Groups → Permission Manager (requires 3+ groups where you have promote rights). 👤 Custom Admins Add any Telegram user as a Combot admin even if they aren't a group admin on Telegram. They get dashboard access for that group. User must already be a member. Find it under Settings → Admins. 🎛 Granular Admin Permissions Admins used to get full Combot access or none. Now there are 3 independent roles you can mix and match: — Analytics: dashboard, stats, export — Scheduler: scheduled posts — Settings: moderation, filters, welcome, rules Applies to both Telegram and custom admins. 💤 Inactivity Kicker Auto-kick members inactive for 1–60 days. Exempt users with usernames, profile pictures, or a minimum message count. Runs silently in the background. Note: enabling it will immediately kick existing members who already match the condition. Find it under Moderation → Tools. 📢 Reports Routing Two new options for reports: route them to a dedicated group/channel instead of DMing admins, or exclude specific admins from receiving them. Find it under Moderation → Tools → Reports. 🌙 Closing Hours Set a daily schedule to automatically lock and unlock your chat. Optionally send a message at open and close time. Useful for solo admins who can't moderate overnight. Find it under Moderation → Tools.

Referral links for regular members By default, only group admins can generate invite links. It is now possible to extend this capability to regular members. To enable it, open the Referrals page in the Combot dashboard and enable "Enable ordinary users to create invite links". Once active, members can use /invite inside the group to generate their own links (up to 10 per user). Each member can only view their own links. Admins retain full visibility: the Referrals leaderboard shows who invited the most new members over any selected time period. Please note: public groups (with username) are exempt from this feature. This is a technical limitation imposed by Telegram in that case.

How to send welcome messages directly to new members? Combot can message new members privately — sending them a welcome message or captcha in DM rather than in the group chat. Two things are needed on your end. First, give Combot the "Add members" permission in your group. Second, turn on "Approve new members" in your group settings. On Android this is under "Group type" → "Approve new members". Once both are set, Combot picks up join requests and handles them privately, without any noise in the chat. No subscription needed — it works for all groups. If you haven't tried the new Mini App captcha yet, now is a good time. It's a proper web-based challenge that bots have a much harder time getting past compared to a button in the chat. You can switch to it under Moderation → New users → Captcha → Mini App.

🛡 Introducing Mini App Captcha Combot now supports a new captcha mode (as a Telegram Mini App), which significantly harder for bots to bypass than a standard button in chat. New members who do not complete the challenge within 12 hours will be kicked, and their join request will be rejected. Free for all groups. To enable: Moderation → New users → Captcha → Mini App. 💡 We recommend enabling join request approvals for your group. This allows Combot to send the captcha privately to each new member via DM, keeping your chat clean. Otherwise previous welcome message will always be deleted, remaining the last one.
