In The News The Business Times - 16 October 2019 Keppel Electric, Geneco, iSwitch top choices in power switch by consumers "In view that adoption rates hovered around 20 per cent earlier this year, the latest figure represents tangible progress for the OEM... a sign that the industry's efforts to enhance awareness are paying off," said Martin Lim, chief executive of Electrify. But he added: "While the current adoption rate of 40 per cent is heartening, we should recognise that a significant proportion have yet to sign up with private retailers...it is evident that competitive prices and convenient migration processes aren't providing consumers with sufficient incentives to make the switch." Mr Lim said news of exits and consolidation among the retail players may be prompting a wait-and-see approach among consumers who have decided to stay put with the default retailer SP.
