Dear users, We have received another request from the regulator for additional documentation. Furthermore, the regulator has demanded the removal of KICK from our own exchange until we "legalize" it in El Salvador. Thus, the risks have materialized, and KickEX will be transitioned into a deep sleep mode starting in early November. We will continue to gather and submit the required documents and work towards obtaining the license, but the timeline for this remains unclear.

Dear Users, We haven’t shared updates for a while, hoping to soon announce positive changes. Unfortunately, there are no good news, and we are forced to share bad ones. For the past one and a half years, we have been trying to obtain a license in El Salvador. Lawyers and the regulator repeatedly promised that the license would be issued "any day now," but it never happened. The last conversation with the regulator took place two weeks ago, and we were once again promised a decision by mid-September 2025. The lack of a license restricts the exchange’s operations: we cannot open bank accounts or establish the crypto-fiat infrastructure necessary for full-fledged operations. Revenue solely from currency conversion fees, without advertising or the ability to attract clients for buying and selling cryptocurrencies, is insufficient in this industry even to cover the ongoing costs of maintaining server equipment. Since 2023, we have been forced to finance unprofitable operations while awaiting the license. Unfortunately, there has been no progress, and we no longer have the resources to continue funding without clarity on whether the exchange will generate profit. Due to the above, we are forced to suspend the exchange’s operations until the license is obtained. As a result of this suspension, we kindly ask you to withdraw your funds from the exchange by the end of September 2025, in case the regulator delays the decision again or imposes additional requirements.If the license is not obtained, the exchange will enter hibernation mode in October 2025 until the license is secured, and withdrawals will become unavailable. Trading operations and deposits will be disabled shortly, leaving only the option to withdraw funds. All user funds on the exchange are fully backed, so there is no cause for concern.We will make every effort to obtain the license and resume the exchange’s operations.
