Forgot to share this here... I spent most of a day 3D printing various wall mounts for all of this, but I finally have my Star Wars wall mostly done. I still need to get shelving for my original action figures from the 70s.

You know what. Fuck the American health care system. I had a procedure scheduled for Monday to get an injection into my spine to deal with my pain. I got a note saying I owed ~$80 from my pain clinic. Okay, not bad. Then the surgery center calls me to let me know I need to pay them $3125. I just got laid off, I can't afford that shit. Guess I'll just sit here in pain. Cancelled the procedure

Welp. Some have already heard, but I'm making it more public now. I have been laid off, as of this morning. I got a nice severance package, I'm not worried about bills, but I am angry about it. I was with this company for about 7 years. I remember spending an entire weekend rebuilding the service desk API to stop outages. I worked 100 hours in a single week fixing them. They just let me go. "Restructuring" they called it. Whatever. Time to go job hunting!

I've been running this for several days now. I don't want to get into politics, religion, etc. What I do want to verbalize is that censorship, repression, etc is .. that's absolutely an authoritarian move. It's not only meant to silence the people (stop them from sending messages out), but also to keep them in the dark (stop them from reading news, know what is going on). To that effort, I'd like some of you to maybe take a peek at this, sent by a good person.
