🔥 Hot out of the Oven: The Baking Sheet – Issue #322
This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Michelson Meets EVM on Etherlink – Just one week after Ganesha activated, Arthur Breitman shared the first cross-runtime transaction between Michelson and EVM on Etherlink Mainnet. Native Atomic Composability allows applications in both environments to interact within the same shared ledger and atomic transaction, giving us our first real glimpse of this part of the Tezos X roadmap in action.
➡️ What Does It Take to Become a Tezos Baker in 2026? – Cryptonio takes a fresh look at baking and finds that getting started may be more approachable than many expect. From the 6,000 tez baking power requirement and $300–$500 mini PCs to DAL participation, monitoring tools, and testnets, the latest Spotlight article walks through what running a baker actually looks like today.
➡️ Critical Mass Heads to London – Critical Mass will be on the ground at the World Nuclear Symposium from September 9–11 as an official media partner, bringing its conversations around uranium and nuclear energy directly to one of the industry's biggest annual gatherings.
➡️ Inside the HEK x Tezos Foundation Partnership – A new Tezos Spotlight feature takes a deeper look at the year-long collaboration, from exhibitions and artist releases to education and the increasingly important challenge of preserving digital art for future generations.
➡️ Now Streaming: The Story Behind Tezzardz – Tezzardz popped back onto the timeline this week, giving us the perfect excuse to revisit a TezTalks Radio conversation with George Goodwin, better known as OMGiDRAWEDit, about the story behind those colorful lizards and the artistic journey that led to them.

The vote also set a new Etherlink Promotion quorum record at 40.11%, bringing Michelson, native atomic composability, Octez RPC compatibility, and additional security hardening to Etherlink.
➡️ Tokenized Uranium Expands Across Europe – xU3O8 is now available to eligible Kraken users across the European Economic Area, giving more investors access to fractional ownership of physical uranium through a familiar exchange.
➡️ Tezos X-Plained Takes on Crypto Regulation – Joanna Rindell breaks down where crypto regulation actually stands in Episode 22, covering MiCA, the GENIUS Act, DeFi, and some of the bigger questions regulators and the industry are still working through.

🔥 Hot out of the Oven: The Baking Sheet
This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Etherlink Governance Works Exactly as Intended – Etherlink 7.0, codenamed Ganesha, was set to introduce the Michelson interface and native atomic composability between Michelson and EVM applications, marking a major step toward Tezos X. During further testing, however, engineers discovered a security issue. Bakers are now being asked to vote “nay” during the Promotion period beginning August 7 while a corrected kernel is prepared. Etherlink Mainnet remains safely on version 6.6, showing exactly why testing and governance exist before an upgrade reaches users.
➡️ Kento Season 01 Is Starting to Feel Real – Kento has revealed one of its first production samples ahead of its upcoming Kickstarter campaign. Season 01 turns 114 artworks from 37 digital artists into physical collectible cards centered around Web Nostalgia, complete with seven rarity levels and scratch-off seals that let collectors claim the corresponding digital artwork. With manufacturing underway, we're finally getting a look at what the finished collection will feel like in hand.
➡️ Responsive Signals Comes to MoMI This September – The Museum of the Moving Image and Art on Tezos return during Armory Week with Responsive Signals, bringing together Jonas Lund, Yoshi Sodeoka, Nick Fox-Gieg, and Kat Zhang for an evening of artist talks and interactive installations. It's the latest chapter in a partnership that continues finding new ways to explore digital art beyond the screen.

➡️ Kento Season 01 Heads to Kickstarter – Digital art is getting a physical twist with Kento’s first collectible card season. The collection features 114 artworks from 37 digital artists, spread across seven rarity levels and centered on Web Nostalgia. 🔥 Hot out of the Oven: The Baking Sheet
This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Two Years of Adaptive Issuance – Two years after the Paris upgrade, the numbers are in. Direct staking has grown from roughly 7% to 29% of circulating supply, more tez is now staked than delegated for the first time, and annual issuance has fallen below 3% while network participation has increased. It's an encouraging sign that Adaptive Issuance is achieving what it was designed to do: strengthening security while reducing unnecessary inflation.
➡️ Etherlink 6.6 Enters Fast Governance – Etherlink's latest kernel upgrade has entered the Fast Governance process. Version 6.6 focuses on security hardening, allowing important infrastructure improvements to move quickly while remaining under baker governance. Bakers are encouraged to review the proposal and technical details on Tezos Agora.
➡️ Critical Mass Heads to World Nuclear Symposium 2026 – The Critical Mass podcast, produced in association with uranium.io, has been announced as an official media partner for the World Nuclear Symposium 2026 in London. It's another example of a project built on Tezos establishing a presence within a major global industry while helping connect blockchain infrastructure with real-world markets.
➡️ To Be Perceived, Against Evil Continues at MoMI – If you're in New York this summer, To Be Perceived, Against Evil by Linda Dounia and Rhea Myers remains on view at the Museum of the Moving Image through August 2. The installation explores privacy, memory, and visibility through interactive Tezos smart contracts, with a free companion process mint available on objkt.

This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem:
➡️ Welcome to TezCon 2026! – This weekend, the Tezos community comes together in Seattle for the third annual TezCon. Artists, musicians, developers, collectors, and community members will gather for exhibitions, live performances, interactive art, the Voices of Iran zine, TEIA showcases, and countless conversations that turn online collaborations into real-world connections.
➡️ Community Spotlight: TezGov – Governance participation just became more approachable. Built by Tez Capital, TezGov brings Tezos Layer 1 and Etherlink governance together in a single interface, allowing users to track proposals, participate in governance, and even signal voting preferences directly to their baker. It's another example of the community building tools that make on-chain governance easier to navigate.
➡️ Vaults.fyi Integrates Etherlink – Developers can now access Etherlink-native vaults through a single API thanks to Vaults.fyi's latest integration. Supporting Midas vaults including mBASIS and mTBILL, the platform makes it easier for wallets, fintech apps, portfolio trackers, and neobanks to offer tokenized yield products without building custom integrations for every vault.

➡️ Happy 8th Birthday, Tezos! – Tezos celebrated eight years since mainnet launched with a look back at the milestones that have defined its journey, from pioneering Proof of Stake and self-amendment to building one of Web3's most vibrant digital art communities and laying the foundation for Tezos X. More than two dozen major milestones and 21 protocol upgrades later, the ecosystem continues to evolve through on-chain governance and community participation.
