Crypto Has Lost $3.63B Since January 2025
CoinGecko counted 245 incidents between January 2025 and July 2026, with the ten largest making up over 72.5% of everything stolen. Bybit alone is $1.44B - more than the next four combined.
Line the dates up and the target visibly shifts. Almost every 2025 entry is an exchange: Bybit, Phemex, Bitget, Nobitex, BTCTurk, CoinDCX, BigONE, SBI. Not one exchange appears in the 2026 half. Instead it's protocols and infrastructure - Drift and KelpDAO landed within seventeen days of each other in April, $577M between them.
And audits didn't help. 147 of the 245 incidents hit audited protocols, accounting for 88.44% of all capital drained. Only about 11% involved a flaw actually inside the audit scope - KelpDAO's was a bridge misconfiguration, not a contract bug.

Nvidia vs 12 Iconic Companies
Apple, Walmart, Coca-Cola, P&G, PepsiCo, Disney, McDonald's, Costco, GM, Nike, Starbucks and UPS earned $57.9B between them last quarter. Nvidia earned $59.7B on its own.
The comparison is real but the margin isn't. Roughly $7.8B of Nvidia's profit came from revaluing its stakes in Intel and SpaceX - paper gains on investments, not chips sold. Strip that out and operating profit lands near $54B, slightly behind the twelve combined.
Which doesn't make the number less remarkable. Nvidia did $96.2B in revenue at a 75% gross margin, up 106% year over year, and guided to $108B for the current quarter. Apple, second on this list at $29.8B, needed a billion devices and two decades of retail to get there. Nvidia sells one product category to a few dozen customers.
The risk sits in that same sentence. Four customers now account for over 60% of Nvidia's revenue. Coca-Cola's $4.4B comes from hundreds of millions of people buying a $2 drink - the least concentrated earnings on this page, and the reason it will still be here in ten years.

Top Categories by Raised Amount in Summer
Roughly $2.86B across seven categories this summer, and the split says a lot about where builders think the next users come from:
• Exchanges - $700M
• Payments - $537M
• Blockchains - $468M
• Mining & Compute - $433M
• DeFi - $309M
• AI - $262M
• Brokerage - $150M
Exchanges, payments and brokerage together take $1.39B - nearly half of everything raised. That's not protocol money, it's distribution money: the venues where people actually buy, hold and move funds. Investors are funding the front door rather than the machinery behind it.
DeFi at $309M is the number that stands out. The category that once was crypto venture now sits fifth, below mining and compute infrastructure. Composable yield primitives aren't a funding thesis anymore - the products got built, the winners are entrenched, and new capital doesn't see room for another lending market.
AI at $262M is the other surprise. For a narrative that dominates every conference stage, it's the second-smallest bucket here - which suggests crypto x AI is still mostly a token story rather than a venture one.

Market Expectations for Upcoming Projects
Polymarket now has live odds on tokens that don't exist yet. Variational leads on both size and timing: 79% to clear $500M, 77% to launch by December 31. Base is the outlier: 57% to clear $500M and 53% to clear $1B, almost no gap between them, but just 13% odds of shipping by December.

Nvidia's Suppliers by Revenue Exposure
Nvidia's AI dominance pulls billions through foundry, HBM memory, testing, packaging and server assembly. Here's how much of each supplier's revenue comes from Nvidia:
• TSMC - 37.35%
• SK Hynix - 26.53%
• Advantest - 24.44%
• Micron - 13.62%
• Teradyne - 8.44%
• ASE Technology - 2.49%
• Keysight - 1.43%
• Ibiden - 1.23%
• Fabrinet - 1.15%
• Amkor - 0.98%
• Cisco - 0.89%
The surprise is third place. Advantest makes test equipment and a quarter of its entire business now runs through one customer. At Blackwell die sizes, yield and validation stopped being a back-office step and became a bottleneck.
SK Hynix and Micron together sit at 40%, which is what happens when HBM becomes the scarce input rather than the wafer. And notice where the numbers collapse: packaging and networking names like Amkor and Cisco are under 1%.
The AI money isn't spread across the supply chain - it's concentrated in the three steps that are hardest to substitute. Worth caveating: Nvidia doesn't publish its supplier spend, and most suppliers report large customers anonymously. These are analyst estimates, not disclosures.

Top 10 LLM Models by DeepSWE Score
DeepSWE measures average pass@1 on real software engineering tasks - can the model actually fix the bug, not describe how it would. Current standings:
• GPT-5.6 Sol (max) - 69
• GPT-5.6 Sol (xHigh) - 67
• GPT-5.6 Terra (max) - 67
• Claude Fable 5 (max) - 66
• GPT-5.6 Sol (High) - 65
• GPT-5.5 (xHigh) - 64
• GPT-5.6 Sol (medium) - 64
Kimi K3 - 64
GPT-5.6 Luna (max) - 63
Claude Opus 5 (max) - 63
Seven of the top ten are OpenAI. But the more useful read is the spread: six points separate first place from tenth, and GPT-5.6 Sol at medium reasoning scores the same 64 as Kimi K3 and GPT-5.5 at xHigh.
Kimi K3 at 64 is the number worth watching. It's the only non-US model in the top ten and it lands inside the same band as models costing several times more.
Meanwhile the leader's 69 carries an asterisk - Artificial Analysis flagged a higher rate of content safety filtering on that endpoint since benchmarking.

Top Public Companies by 3-Year Revenue Growth with MC above $1T
Filter the world down to companies worth over $1T and rank them by what they actually sold, compounded over three years. Ten names qualify:
• NVIDIA - 113.97% ($5.16T)
• Micron - 70.63% ($1.05T)
• Eli Lilly - 39.23% ($1.10T)
• Broadcom - 29.14% ($1.70T)
• TSMC - 25.84% ($1.96T)
• Meta - 23.72% ($1.45T)
• Microsoft - 16.12% ($3.65T)
• Alphabet - 15.48% ($4.24T)
• Amazon - 12.97% ($2.82T)
• Apple - 6.73% ($4.52T)
Nvidia's 114% is the number that breaks the scale - revenue more than doubling annually for three straight years, at a size where that shouldn't be possible. Micron at 70.63% is the same trade one layer down: HBM memory is now the bottleneck in every AI rack. Five of the ten are semiconductor or AI infrastructure names.
The bottom of the list is the more interesting read. Apple grew 6.73% a year and is the second-most valuable company on earth at $4.52T. Alphabet grew 15.48% and trades at $4.24T.
The market clearly isn't paying for growth alone - it's paying for durability, cash generation and installed base. Which is exactly the assumption Nvidia's $5.16T is testing today, with earnings due after the close.

Top Perpetual DEXs by Open Interest
Open interest shows how much capital is actually sitting in live positions - the truest read on a venue's depth. Current standings:
• Hyperliquid - $12.9B
• Aster - $2.31B
• Variational - $1.43B
• Lighter - $1.12B
• edgeX - $582M
• Grvt - $432M
• Antarctic - $314M
• GMTrade - $266M
• QFEX - $198M
• Derive - $173M
Hyperliquid holds 65% of all open interest across the top 10, more than double the other nine combined, and $62.58M in 30-day fees against $18.4M for everyone else. Its lead is widening, not narrowing.
It sits 3rd on OI with $1.43B while doing $28.75B in volume - less than Lighter, which holds $310M less in positions. And it charges nothing: zero fees on that entire book, since the RFQ model earns the spread instead. TGE still expected in Q4.

YZi Labs Unveils EASY Residency Season 4 Cohort
24 companies just finished the program - 10 weeks, half online and half living together in Bhutan, with up to $500K per team from YZi Labs' $1B Builder Fund. It's the first global cohort to build inside Gelephu Mindfulness City, Bhutan's new sovereign tech region.
The lineup has an obvious center of gravity: non-USD payment rails. Aile is building an FX layer for regional stablecoins, ViFi Labs makes markets in Naira, Real and Peso, Kravata does stablecoin accounts across Latin America, Surgepay lets Indians abroad settle bills home in rupees over WhatsApp. Nearly half the cohort is moving money in currencies that aren't the dollar - the part of stablecoin infrastructure that's barely been built.
The rest splits between institutional market structure (Alloco, Primus, Liquorice, Nexroute) and AI as an economic actor (xAPI, Roostoo, Zerodrift). Worth noting what's missing: YZi pitches this as Web3, AI and biotech, but exactly one company here is biotech.
